I have a Direct-Flo, the TSP's have been getting a lot of press lately, but the best one is by far the cheapest one you can find. Seriously. They're all that close to one another and no one is better than the other. Spend wisely.

A lid is a lid is a lid. Some fit better. Some look nicer. TSP's are my favorite, especially smoked. Just find your preference and nab it. Used lids are pretty easy to find and don't wear much lol.

Red01Chevy, please explain/expand more on that throttle body spacer you got in your sig.
Yeah, a lid is a lid is a lid. The cheapest one is the best. If you're going for asthetics, the smoke/clear lid by I don't know who, but have seen them, are pretty cool.

02, you're referring to TSP's lid from what it sounds like. I think MTI makes a smoked lid as well.

I know MTI makes a clear lid and a black lid. As far as a smoked lid, I have not seen one. But can be wrong. I think the clear looks bad a$$ and should have gotten that one instead of the slp lid.

Im in love with my FIPK but if you want a lid, they are all about the same, TSP,MTI,Direct Flow,Wisper, also you should look into a FTRA(fast toys ram air) or a SSRA(super sucker ram air), they compliment the lids very well. Good Luck

I went with a smoked TSP only because I like the look. If I didn't care about how it looked, I would have gone with the LS1 Motorsports... it's only $75 now!

iv got the tsp 'carbon fiber' i was pissed that it wasent carbon fiber. it is abs plastic with carbon fiber lamanit on it. it fits ok but i like the fact that its not the edges of the lid making the seal its the foam gaskit that you stick to the bottem side. my only complaint other than the carbon fiber thing is the tube sits low so with the maf in place its almost impossible to take it off to ckeck the filter without unclamping the maf.

in genral with lids you can make argumets for any of them but when its all sed and done there about equall. go with somthing you like clear, smoaked, 'carbon fiber' or just plain black plastic. any way its better than stock.

i say go with a cheap one and put the $ twards a fast toys ram air kit. well worth the green.

EXACTLY....

just get one, and get on an even playing field.....no matter what, without a lid, you are at a serious disadvantage. With one, you're even. i have the ls1 motorsports direct flo......no problems with it and had it over 3 years.....it sells for $75 right now at their website. just go there and get it over with. Stop killing youself, and get the thing!

HAHA, not trying to be over bearing....but alot of times I need someone to just say "GET IT"....to get something...

My car came with a Whisper. It was cracked on each latch point and would just blister into pieces when you'd touch it. So from my personal experience, they aren't the best fitting. My TSP fits pretty good though.

If you'd read their description, it says it's carbon fiber look.
