Default Camaro Grille Removal

I can get the side clips to pull out, but the rest just seem to be stuck on there REAL good. I'm trying to be careful so I don't mess anything up except maybe the grille itself... Any helpful tips on how to get this thing off?

Sounds harsh, but when I removed mine to install a billet grill I just yanked it off with no problems. Sides first, then pulled from the bottom, then pulled from the top.

Did you just pull hard on it? I don't care if I break the grille. I just don't want to chip my bumper where the tabs are, or scratch anything real bad.

When I pulled mine off I thought I was going pull the bumper off. I had to pull the **** out of mine. Nothing was scratched or damaged just seems like you will break something.

yea just pull real hard. It will feel like you are going to rip the whole bumper off, but it'll be fine. Just rip that ****. You will hear it pop the rivets and come out.

There were three clips on top and 3 nuts on the bottom IIRC.

Got it, thanks guys. Just need to get some touch up paint because the bottom of it seems to have worn down on the bumper itself slightly. Anyway to temporarily fill the holes in until I get an SLP one?

you could fill the holes, but I wouldnt unless you plan on repainting. there's been plenty of guys to fill in the holes, and even fill in "camaro" and then just paint it.

...and then put the SS or Bowtie emblem in the middle.

Here's mine from ebay, and I added a 69 badge. I just used black spray paint to black out the red. Just another option.

Mine is a billet grille I painted black with a 67/68 SS emblem. The 69 emblems are a little more 'V' shaped than our car's grille needs.
