Well - I don't think that's what he said........but, either way, you don't need anyone's permission to run a CARFAX on any vehicle.
To the OP - maybe you could take it to a mechanic's shop and look at it up on the hoist. That might give you more peace of mind, or it might keep you from making at 15K mistake. Good luck!

I'm the "5th" owner of my car. One before me was a private collector who put 43 miles on it. Original owner was a pontiac exec who put 17k on it in 5 years... Another guy who owned it moved from michigan to ohio and the re-registration counts as an owner I suppose. # of owners means nothing (to me). The cars condition speaks for its self.
Nice purchase man, welcome to the community.

Haha, hey at least I admit my mistake. I could have just deleted my post, but I don't do that.
By that same token, if you read your OWN thread, you could have taken some good advice, saved some more cash (now and in the future), avoided potential problems, among other things.
But that's neither here nor there, you're happy with your car, that's what counts.

I think 14k is a great price. I paid 10k for my 87k mls, pewter T/A and i'm the 3rd owner.. Yeah I know I could have found a waaaay better deal.

Yeah, I have my car up for sale locally right now for 10k and it's got 96k mls... I'm obviously asking to much and I know that, but I'm not really that motivated to sell. If someone decides they will pay that much for it it's theres. My car is paid in full though.

You guys act like because someone is asking $10k for their car, they will get it.
The amount the car was sold for determines it's worth.
