New here, Looking For Cat Back Exhaust Info
I have a 2000 Z28 finally broke down and bought something LS powered. Early in the summer I bought a 94 Z28 LT1 Auto and it was just not nice enough to get into. So I sold it an bought the 2K Z28 LS1 6 Speed, clean Texas car with quite a bit of modifications. I bought the car as a project and want to finish it up this week. The last thing to order before installs and tuning begin is the cat back exhaust.
Currently the car has a comp camp, different pushrods and rockers, intake, TB, long tubes, catless y pipe, and the last piece will be the exhaust. Is the car going to be nausiating loud on the expressway with the Loudmouth 2? Or should I just do the magnaflow?

Drone is an issue with most exhaust. As far sound, you do hear a Magnaflow, LM and LM2 has their own sound. If you can get a ride in a car with one, I would do so. Also make sure it has a cam as it matters when its stock, or you move up.
I have a Corsa with a Dynatech Catted Y, w/o CATs on my old setup it was darn loud and people didnt like it as much. But the interior sound under 3k was very good.
You can also consider Borla and have it capped down.

x2 on the LS1sounds.
If your going for flow/power and sound, you cant beat duals/x-pipe and there are several mufflers that sound good, just your taste and wallet.
Alot of people run the loudmouth with extra bullet mufflers or something else that tones it down a little but again, your preference.
Flowmasters sound good but get a bad review from flow tests. I suppose the best would be get duals with cats and mufflers that stay quiet and run electric cutouts.

One option is, if you already have the LM2, you could install it and if it turns out to be too loud for your taste you can add the Powerflo Resonators from SLP. A couple of gentlemen on here (Detoxx and The Alchemist) say they love it. I know Detoxx has a couple of videos of his car with this catback. Do a search and give it a listen. You may find something you like.
