Default New to LS life.

Well as you guys know I've left the Third Gen scene, and now own a 1998 Trans Am.

Car is equip. with :

Ls1
T56
3.42 Posi
Ttops

Nothing is done to the car, it was owned by an older gentleman from brand new and is a one owner vehicle. I have original bill of sale, all brochers and everything done to the car.

I am new to the LS and 4th gen scene.

What should be first thing I do to this vehicle? I want exhuast and intake, any suggestions?

Lid, TB Bypass, LS6 Intake, Headers, lower it.

That'll be a good start for you.

What Merv said, but replace "lower it" with cat back exhaust for me.

Congrats on the new car man.

Yea..forgot the Cat Back/Exhaust. I was thinking it when I said Headers.. I usually do all that at one time.

There is plenty to do, I would say Lid and Exhaust from header back like Merv Said.

I am not a fan of lowering, but if you did there is a 1" drop kit you could look at that IMO looks better then what is out there for 2-3" stuff.

I would also say focus on cleaning, waxing, and polishing as having a PIMP looking ride is 99% of the battle.

The Eibach Pro Kit is a good kit, I have that one on my Car. I have QA1's in the back, I'm about to yank them out and put the Eibachs back in with some Bilstiens.

I don't know your driving behavior but if you plan on racing on street or track at least put some subframe connectors on it. They practically eliminate frame twist and you being a t-top car that's a problem. If you want some good traction off of steet tires and not DR's I would put some LCA's and LCA relocators on it too. All the above mentioned mods are great too start with but don't forget the suspension remember you have to start hooking before you can begin booking.

Headers are a good thing to put on now too. Depending on where you live you may not want it lowered. Mine is stock height and the exhaust bangs on stuff all the time since our roads suck.
