Question Need radiator guidance!!!

My radiator is gone now due to hitting the plastic piece on the bottom. I need to know what some good aftermarket radiators for a good price are. I have a 2004 Pontiac GTO 5.7 liter. I found one for $150.00 called Genesis auto parts. Looked like a good one. You guys know anything let me know cause i need to order one asap!! Looking for prices of only $150.00 to $200.00.

sounds like a pretty decent price. i would pay more to buy something local with a warranty so you dont have to ship it and wait when the damn thing leaks 10 miles down the road.

I always vote for factory replacement but most of the aftermarket units will fair well too.

A LT1 radiator is a one core 1"thick rad vs. a 7/8" thick LS1 rad and both are direct replacement. Go LT1......

I got one from NAPA for my LS1 for $135. It is for an auto and a little thicker than the stocker, manual tranny. Instead of plugging the fittings I ran the power steering to the trans cooler. The dummy needle has been little lower and underhood temps are definitely lower, but I also added a 160 thermo and the stock radiator was full of dirt in the fins.

LT1 FTW!. I'm still running my LT1 one for my swap, I bought it from Autozone for like $130 when mine went out, it works like a charm.

Will the LT1 one fit a GTO?

That sir is an excellent fckn idea, I never thought of that.

How well does it work? I think the PS Fluid is a little thinner so it should work well.

I havent really checked to see how well it works but since it is good enough to cool a hot trans it should be great for the steering. I also removed the stock SS cooler and just used NAPA brake/tranny metal lines to the radiator. I've been meaning to take pics and post a write up but been too busy
