Ported TB question
Do i need to run a coolant bypass for a ported throttle body on my 01? It looks like the coolant lines will end up going right into the interior of the throttle body and end up gettin coolant sucked into my intake...

In actuality, the tb bypass and a ported and polished tb won't net you much hp. The p/p tb will help more if you go with a cam or a head/cam setup. Mine was ported and polished, and I barely noticed a gain, if any.

Well **** too late now i already bought it. I heard it shows a small gain with an Ls6 intake. I do plan on doing a cam after i get my headers/exhaust setup done.
I'm not worried about horsepower with the TB bypass, i'm pretty sure that all those free mods are pretty useless, but i just didn't know because from the looks of it it seems like coolant will run into the mouth of the throttle body but i guess it works some weird way

Ehh no sacrifice no victory, or however that transformers **** goes haha.
Another quick question for people who have done this before, do i need to replace the intake seal when swapping out TB's?
