Its a toss up between which is better the FTRA or the SSRA, I posted on this a while back. Overall, the SSRA is probably better though because its made of plastic(stays cooler), and sucks cooler air off the pavement(sits lower)

i have posted this also,
and have seen it posted many times.
i personally, am going with SSRA because

its cheap plastic (great insulator!)
bangs parking blocks (sucks air from lower)
and because the FTRA was "improved" by using something the SSRA already had!

i will use the SSRA until track times show FTRA some favor

Wow, Chevyweatherman, I'm surprised to see how big the FTRA really is, and how much it blocks. SSRA people: Is the SSRA a similar size?

The Austin Ram Air(SSRA) is about the same size. The SSRA however angles away from the radiator at the top allowing cold air to pass over the radiator. This keeps temps down. Plus the SSRA is made in America, unlike the FTRA

Well the FTRA is off my list. How much clearanceat the front am I going to lose with the SSRA? I almost always nose over parking stops and with the stock ride height I don't hit anything. If I come out of my driveway at anything less than a 45* angle I drag the front of my car. Is the SSRA going to be destroyed under these conditions?

thanks

I make and sell this also. It's called the Austin Scoop. It fits the FTRA/SLP/Whisper ram air kits. LM Performance and Speed Inc sell them for me also for $79.

I like the FRA, FTRA, and SSRA in that order.
