First read this to gain a basic understandingread this>>>>>>https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-o...anna-fast.html
If you want a GREAT forged motor call this guy>>> www.hkracingengines.com/ Tell him your goals and he will tell you which heads, Intake, injectors/carb, how much spray etc..... Then you have to find a GOOD tuner. This is MOST IMPORTANT because a bad tune could DESTROY the very expensive motor you just bought
You will also need to upgrade the rear end and tranny. Get the rear here >>>>www.midwestchassis.com
Tranny go here if you are auto>>>>>www.finishlinetrans.com/ Ask vince if you will need to upgrade to a 4l80E
If you are a manual car you need a clutch>>>>>www.monsterclutches.com/
You will need some suspension mods to get all this power to the ground like a torque arm, lower control arms etc..... One of these guys can help>>>www.bmrfabrication.com/>>>www.umiperformance.com/
Tires go here>>>>>>>www.mickeythompsontires.com/
Then you need some rims>>>>>>www.weldwheels.com/
Damn I have had fun spending all this guys money.......I hope you are a Shiek

^^^ that is about right, your looking at spending well over $20k (US Dollars) for these mods. But in comparison, the money you would dump into an asian car for the same power potential is even higher. I know finding a tuner in your area will be next to impossible. You could get a decent tune sent to you, but how good will it be overall... Most likely not very good on a very strong setup and kill your car like SOMbitch said. You can get alot of people together and pay a tuner to fly over to get really good tunes done. But be ready to spend ALOT OF MONEY on that one though, pending on how many people you could get together for it. You have to make it worth the tuner's time is you see what I am saying.

What octane fuel do you have available? Also, what is your elevation, temperature and humidity?
I'm guessing your best bet is to go with a 150 shot of wet nitrous. Don't tell the supra you have it, then demand a 1/8th mile race from a dead stop and that he gives you a 3-4 car lead. You might pull it off.

Forged bottom end.
12.5-1 compression ratio.
Bolt ons.
**HEADS FIRST, THEN A CUSTOM CAM TO MATCH THOSE HEADS.**
200-225 shot. Maybe 2 stages depending on how much traction you can get on those roads.
high octane gas.
**OF COURSE A TUNE**-- Hopefully a custom tune at this level.
m/t e/t drag tires.
some kind of suspension.
Definetly a 9" or 12 bolt.
Lighten the car up.
And I would get a 2-step.
And after all of this you should have that supra in the bag.
Anyone who knows more than me(and there are alot of people that fall into that catagorey, I AM only 15..) please correct anything I've said, I dont want to cause a motor that takes a ****.

the Mickey Thompson ET Drags are full slicks, non DOT approved in the USA and may be a little much. but a good set of Drag Radials is not a bad idea, they are street legal here. Nitto 555r's- Mickey Thompson ET Streets- BFGoodrich has some too
225 shot on a stock bottom end is in the red zone, but with a good tune is manageable, IMO
A ford 9" uses 2 to 3% more horsepower due to a larger hypoid offset, i always suggest the 12 bolt unless your shooting for over 1000 whp. that larger offset also gives the 9" its seemingly super strengh by adding tooth contact.

You can find someone to build a motor, and everything else. The most important thing you need to find is a tuner and a good one at that. Tuning a high horsepower LS motor is very important. If the tune isn't that good, then you are going to put a hurt on your motor and everything that you have invested in the Camaro. A 225shot needs a bang on tune for starters. Before doing any kind of major work, find a REALLY GOOD tuner!!!
