IMO people go overboard with "show" on these car with too many decals and useless chrome bits. They all seem to look the same anyway, since everyone does nearly all the same visual mods.

OH, and IMO the FTRA isn't worth 200 bucks. I have one, and I didn't feel any SOTP improvement or get a mileage gain. Luckily I bought it used so I wasn't out 200 bucks.
I agree. I say "go" first but if you have them snowflake wheels, I would go with something else. IMO they are some fugly wheels.

This is what I would do if I had that car in addition to what youve done:
air lid
LS6 intake
cam
stall(after the cam so it matches)
3.73s, or 3.42s would even be a big improvement over 2.73s
tune
Drag radials(eventually if you plan on runnin it at the track)
ported tb, prolly the last thing I would do. (honestly, I didnt notice much difference after & others say you dont gain hardly anything)

Those mods will make it a very fun car, for a little while anyways.

You guys talked me into go first. I built my grand prix gt for show when I had it. Lowered, slp spoiler, ram air hood, tint, ect.. Every car on the road wanted to race. But it was slow untill I put in the intercooler turbo, cam, heads, ect. I plan on the LS6 intake, ported tb, 3.73 gears, dyno tune and lowering it this winter/spring. For show, I'll get some nice wheels, 315's in the rear, tinted tails and windows, and maybe a hood. But go will be first!!!

For all you nay sayers about the Cold Air Intake and Port And Polished TB, I did a test video on them racing my brother between each mod. You may not feel it, but you can see it.

Normally I would say go parts first, but that seems to be never ending. You could finish your bolt-on's, get the 'show' part out of the way, and then go back to the go parts.

its all preference really and we will all have the same end result no matter which you go with. i wanted to have a car that handled really well so i went with "show" first even though it wasnt really for show.

My mods went on as follows

1. SFC's (starting out cheap)
2. 02 c5 gunmetal z06s
3. Koni springs/hotchkis shocks/ bad-z phb
4. LCA's with LCA Relocation Brackets
5. Headers/Plugs/Wires/Xpipe/sweet thunder mufflers
6. LS6 Intake/P&P TB
7. HPTuners Pro
8. Ypipe/Magnaflow CB
9. Stall/Shiftkit/Cooler

All this was done in 1 years time. If you plan on just slowly piecing it together like that it really doesnt matter what you do first. Luckily i have an ss so i had the better hood, spoiler, 3.23 gears so i didnt have to worry about that anymore.

After doing it all, i would have done the stall first before all the performance mods because of how much better the a4 is with one

Go before show without a doubt.

It would be shitty to have a car that LOOKS fast but doesnt run worth a damn.

The only show mod I have is tint, lol.
