Default TR55's or TR6's on mostly stock car?

I am going to be doing a cam heads and intake swap in the spring. The car has 105k and I know its time for a tune up. I heard TR55's but then I was told TR6's because its a step colder and helps with detonation. And also which wires? Taylor or MSD? I personally like Taylor.

On a stock car (or mostly stock), run the TR55's. They'll run longer without fouling on your vehicle as compared to the TR6's. When you go a heads/cam combo with more compression, or with some nitrous, then you'll want to go with the cooler plug.

TR55's are fine, like said TR6's are one step colder, I am running 55's with a cam and bolt ons making almost 400 RWHP and there is timing in the car and not an issue. When the bottle goes on, I plan on a stand alone fuel cell running C16 and on a 150 shot (550 rwhp total) and I will move to TR6's and have the timing rolled back.

Will it hurt my car to run TR 6's? I just dont want to do something to hurt it in anyway.

Taylors are horrendous, go with MSD. I say that from a lot experience in dealing with both wires. I build every spark plug wire I sell and guarantee them for life vs defects.

The tr6 is a colder running plug yes, no it wont hurt your car.

Here you go, best deal anywhere.

You'll be changing them a good bit more often in most cases if you go with the cooler plug and don't need to. They dissipate the heat away more, and tend to foul sooner because of that.

I'm running 99blancoss combo of TR55s and MSDs. Couldn't be happier. I have run them gapped at 60, 55, and 50. Has run great all three ways.

As TSP stated they could foul sooner. Its a trade off, if your having a slight issue with detonation on warm days or sitting in traffic its better to change a plug than do possible serious damage. Running the right heat range is best, but running a colder plug isnt hurting the engine.

I do not think it will hurt you, even if you put crap fuel in there, if the tune has been unmoddified you have 2 spark tables to help avoid detonation. As for plug wires I went with z06 wires and they work fine.

What about a cam only (cheatr cam version 3), bolt on car? and if so should the plugs be gapped differently? Ive currently got the tr55's in there and set to get it tuned in a few weeks.
