Most will say something in the 3200-3600 range, But don't go cheap.

Most are going to tell you around a 3600 for your mods. Depending on what cam you get i.e. 22x/22x, I would say you would be ok with a 3200-3600. If you get a cam and start getting into the 23x/24x range I would say try to lean more towards a 4000+ stall.

Usually Circle-D and Yank are probably going to be the most popular brands. And they are site sponsors as well. Its all a matter of personal opinion, really. I would say that if your eventually going with h/c, you might as well get a higher stall to save some money down the road. Personally (mods in sig) I went with a Yank ProThruster 4400.

I havent got to drive my car yet with it in since the motor is being built, but im positive it will be satisfactory for my application.

Here is a link to a sticky I posted in the auto section that may help you choose which route you want to take. These are LS1Tech members that express their personal opinions about which converter they chose and how it acts on the street. They also were kind enough to provide their mods.

Yank and Vig are two tried and true names in the LS world. I would recommend between a 3600-4000.

Do you know at what RPMs does your Torque peak at. An old rule of thumb when picking the correct Converter for your application is to get one that has a stall that is around 600-700 RPMs lower then your peak TQ RPMs.

Example. If your TQ peaks at 4000 RPMs. a 3400 Stall would be a good choice

Currently running a 3600 fuddle with a 232/234 cam. Don't get anything lower than a 3200. Go for a 4000 you wont regret it. I wish i would have went bigger GET A YANK!!
