doing my first cam swap need help

oh cause on ls1 how to it says to line up the crank dot with the cam dowel or something like thats what im stuck on right now! :/ im nt sure how to do it, do i line the cam dowel to crank dot and just put the cam gear on or is there more to it?

The cam sprocket can only go onto the cam one way. Both the cam sprocket and the crank sprocket have dots on them, the dots need to face one another.

What kind of disconnect tool are you using? What I used was like this:

You put the 3/8 disconnect tool onto the fuel line with the big end towards the intake. Push the fuel line towards the intake while pushing the tool into the fuel line. There may be some fuel spray, but the line should disconnect pretty easily.

the dowel pin on the cam should be at 3 a clock hope this helps
