I have an issue with my power steering fluid.I drained my fluid because it was milky looking like it had water in it and i changed it. In two days time it was milky again and it makes my power steering whine loud. Has anyone had this problem and how can i fix it

Is it leaking? If so its could be the power steering pressure hose.

do you have a factory power steering cooler?... if you do, i'm willing to bet it's bad... also check your coolant and see if it's nasty and milky looking... if you don't have the factory cooler you might just need to purge the air out of the system... with the car running, leave the cap off of the power steering reservoir and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock 5-10 times... this will purge any air out of the system... then check the fluid level and make sure it's correct then replace the cap

Yep, probably the factory cooler leaking.

I would just delete and bypass the cooler. To do so, just get an upper radiator hose for something like a '98 Z28.

no... some cars didn't have one to begin with... it will eventually cause you more problems than it is worth

Exactly; from '98-'01 the only F-bodies that came with this option were SS and WS6 cars. Then in 2002 it was standard on all V8 F-bodies. Point being, thousands of these cars never even came with one, and frankly I agree that you're better off without it. The design of that cooler makes it problematic (the very reason being the topic of this thread) and not very efficent at cooling anyway. An aftermarket cooler would do a much better job if you really wanted to have one.

Them things are junk..
I have one on mine and I never ran the PS through it, just used it as the standard Coolant Pipe. I still had the fittings on it to attach the PS Lines. One day I came out and there was a puddle of Coolant under it. I guess it cracked on the inside. I went to Lowes, found the Brass 1/2" NPT Plugs and plugged off the holes where the Fittings were. Haven't had any problems out of it since.
