Is this air temperature module worth it? SLP claims like 5-7 HP from it. Iwas just curious to see if anyone has it or knows anything about it...
thanks

If you're going to do it, do this instead....
http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...ricker_mod.htm
same results without the $25 price tag.

I used the timing tricker for about a year. Used resistor instead of sensor. Worked great for me. Motor ran much stronger and better mileage. I used a 4.7k ohm mostly. Now I use a Predator to adj. my timing. But I have to say for 99 cents that was a great mod!

I used to like using a 4.7k ohm resistor (57 degrees) for one reason and one reason only...consistancy. No more pulling timing when the IAC reads hot. But now that I tune via LS1Edit, I just blank the table that does the pulling of timing. So, no need to use a resistor to keep the timing advance consistant. ![Thumb](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/thumb.gif)
I also found that using a resistor seemed to richen the mixture just a wee bit so I had to make adjustments or elsewise I'd loose just a hint of trap speed due to it.
