Default Problem with some kind of sensor....

I was checking my spark plug and my finger just kind of touched this sensor and it fell off. I am not sure what it is. I think it has something to do with temp because now my temp gauge dose not work and the fans run on high whenever the car is on. So could some one tell me what I broke and if there is something more involved the just pulling out the old sensor and replacing it to fix the problem. Here are some pics of the location.

pics

Thanks
Adam

Edit: Link fixed.

Well, your pics say FORBIDDEN so they do not work. But if it is on the driver side just up and to the left of the first header bolt then that is your temp. sensor.. Does your fans stay on constantly and if the car warms up its hard to start? Temp Sensor. I broke the same thing when i did my header install.. DO NOT get a autozone or a NAPA one they will not work... (well, mine didnt) Get an AC Delco one from GM or Full service.. I fucked with that for 2 days and thats what it was.. Hope this helps.. Good luck!

your links don't work. is it the one on the head on the drivers side? that's your ECM temp sensor. just get another one, wind it in there and forget about it.

Yea Bro... Thats the exact thing i did to my TA.. Like i said before, do not go get an after market one from autozone or Napa ETC... I know, i beated my dick in the dirt trying to figure why the 2 i bought were not working. I ended up with the volt meter out and making phone calls when alls i had to do was get a GM one. I found out that they use AC Delco so i found one on a Sat. from Full service automotive. Put it in and you have to wait for about 1-3 minutes though till the Computer will react so dont give up when you start it and its not working right away... After you replace it you will see the temp guage go to 210 or so then go back to zero.. Wait a minute or two then your fans will cut off and your guage will work again... Hope this helps bro.. Good luck!
