Default UD Pulley for DD?

im doing a cam swap at the end of the month and want to make sure that i get 400whp.. so i was thinking of adding a UD pulley.. but my friend told me that if its a DD it risks Under running the other accessories such as the water pump, alternator? is this true? should i NOT do an UD pulley? IF i do, which is the best?? thx guys!

http://www.speedinc.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=Engine

I bought mine from Speed Inc. They don't list it on their website but they do carry it. I was initially going to buy their Speed Inc. pulley listed at the bottom of that page but they were sold out. Looks like they have more in stock. They are very friendly, I would give them a call! Hope this helps.

There won't be an issue at all and will free up anther 8 RWHP or so. If you are running a big stereo system you might want an overdrive alternator pulley but other than that they are fine. We can get you a Powerbond or TCI pulley for you at a good price. Basically the same pulley but the TCI is a little cheaper. We also have the belts as well. Let us know if you have any other questions!

That's where I got mine! Nice PB 25% UD and an ARP crank bolt... You need a special tool though to install it because of the location. I made a piece on a lathe and as soon as I got it torqued the tool I made snapped!!!

You can go single or double. Either one will probably do the trick. However, if you are wanting a double for the added strength, I would put on the Rollmaster 1160 chain. It is the best double roller they offer. Will work great for you.
