For anyone having issues with the gaskets sealing I just spoke with CS for Pro Products and they recommended felpro gasket #1312-3 as a replacement for the crappy paper gaskets they send with the manifold.

I had to use button-head bolts on the valley cover
for the intake to seat down flat. Other than that,
with the newer ProProd gaskets I have had zero
trouble.

hey man i have a weiand and did the same thing with the crossover lines. You can take them to a welding shop and have them brazed shut like i did. Worked great and cost me 20$. My brother is purchasing one of these tomorrow, please let us know how you like it. I also know how you feel about people bashing it. People bash my weiand all the time and it flows amazing especially with the fast 90 on it. leaned my car out so bad i had to get it tuned asap. lol. How many douches with ls6 manifolds say that

I have had mine for years now and love it. Looks great under the hood! One thing I wonder about is porting on the manifold. Lots of material to work with and I bet a good shop could even make the TB opening 90mm or bigger. I'd like to see some numbers on out of the box Typhoon compared to a ported Typhoon. Probably never see it tho. I almost bought the Weiand manifold, but the Typhoon was just cheeper. I love the look of the Weiand. Nice finish on it. Someone should start a "Shitty metal intake" thread and what they have done porting, painting, TB combo, and so on. That would be some good info.

Anyway to the OP I hope you get yours on soon. Sucks you have to wait. Tell us what you think after you are done.

Typhoon is in and looking good. Car is running great other then a new tick I am hearing after the install it is like a hollow sounding tick to and just after the install and start up. No engine codes no nothing so that is a great thing. Had some trouble with getting the egr into the top of the manifold though, but after bitching it finally went in. Just wish I knew what the new discovered tick is.

You just can probally hear more noise due to the metal vs plastic intake.

Well I looked through a few forums and some people were saying fuel injectors could be making the ticking or clicking sound it is rhythmic with the engine at idle but then goes away under normal driving conditions. Any take on this?

I noticed a few more noises after mine. The thing is the plastic manifold that was on the car had a bit of foam under it and your new one probably doesn't unless it was put back. With the new metal manifold and lack of foam under it that is probably what your new noises are from. There before, but you couldn't hear them. Maybe not, but plastic and that foam does absorb some noise.

Ticking hmmm...im sure you tried this but make sure all your fuel injectors are in tight...if one is loose it will tick (coming from personal experience when i removed one to check for a leak and forgot to put it back )...as far as the tb is concerned do a home port on your stocker...just as good as the 85 and free....I bought mine complete w/ matching tb it which is why i run one.

Stupid me didn't zip tie up one of the old brackets and it was clinking the top of the manifold. Now that it's zip tied up no tick. I was just looking at the Pro Products 85mm actually.
