Default Short Shifters Question.

does a short shifter make it harder to put in a gear???

i drove a camaro with a short shifter and i had problems getting it into 2nd gear sometimes. i would have to mess around and slip into another gear THEN put it in 2nd gear.

i dont know what brand it was but the guy told it had one im wanting to buy it but thats the really BIG concern i have because i dont wanna pay a shitload of money for the car then have to pay a shitload for the tranny to be fixxed(if thats the problem)

kc, mentioned this in the other thread also, but, most likely this is the CAGS system.
it essentially requires you to go from 1st to 4th directly, rather than going thru the gears sequentially. if you are gunning it a bit, then it'll let you go and shift normally. It's a form of emissions thing that they did. there is a cheap mod to remove that tho.

but man that is relieving lol

but idk if im gonna get that camaro it's had 4 owners and idk how much they are willing to drop the price if they will take 5 g's then i would do it but if we cant work something out with another car i im looking at then **** it i'll just wait.

im trying to do this right and not **** up anymore ive had bad luck with cars...my first car 99' honda accord coupe was totaled cuz some dumb bitch was texting and the 2nd was a 2000 prelude clean as hell and i was just stupid and traded for a 97 prelude cuz it was a manual and man i wasted like 2k fixing the bullshit it had wrong with it. SO I SOLD THAT BITCH and now im here THANK GOD.

Buddy you could use to clean up your mouth a lil don't you think,I understand your upset with your cars but there's is. No need for that, maybe the 16 and 17 year olds on ricenet.com talk like that but this isn't one of those sites, I could see maybe one bad word but come on kid

Capitalization, Grammar and Punctuation...most of us acquired the knowledge of these years ago. The majority of users on here did not.

skip shift is for saving gas. as lomg as you go past 2k rpm's it should shift into 2nd then shift it into 3rd no problems. if you r trying to shift into 2nd before going past 2k rpm's then it wont let you go into 2nd or 3rd gear.....
