Couple hours probably. Shouldn't take long at all as long as they have a spring compressor there.

If every shop that you call wants a ridiculous amount, It's not that hard to just go ahead and do it yourself.

Yeah it's not bad at all. The back will be 30 minutes or so. The front is a little more involved but nothing difficult.

The back can be tackled within 30-40 mins, no problem. The struts up front are the difficult part. Might want to set a day aside for it. :p

When I did mine, it took me about 2-3 hours, and i had never done it before. Like stated, the back takes no time. And as long as you have a spring compressor for the front, you'll be fine.

Don't forget an alignment afterwards. Your front end geometry will be off.... I have some performance specs from Sam Strano. Just pm if you want them...

I did it at home, however, if you don't want to do the spring compressing yourself (I didn't really want to, person giving me a hand had a bad experience with one!), ask a local shop. One by my area did it for $20 (swapped stock springs from stock shocks to Koni's), even with putting up with the rusted nuts and all. It definitely made the job pretty simple.

Springs shouldn't matter, the specs should be the same. You are changing the geometry with your Pro-kit slightly differently than if you put on Strano's (might be a slight height difference), but the specs you want afterward will probably be the same! The alignment basically just controls how you want the car to handle by adjusting how the tires touch the road and how the steering geometry controls the car, or how fast you want your tires to wear

If you need to you can watch my install video. Should be cake after that. Vid in my sig. I didn't get an alignment after my stranos and 5,000 miles later my tires are still perfect. No uneven wear or anything.

yes good video to follow. I will be doing my install myself also. doesn't look hard at all. I installed a jeep lift kit so I should be able to do this no problem.

Good luck!

way too easy to pay someone to do it....you can rent a spring compressor from oreilly/autozone anyway so no need to buy one.

here is the finished product in case any one wanted to see it. only hit one snag in the install, and that was that i didnt know that the bottom perch on the front shocks spun. it was so dirty it looked like one big solid piece, so the shock didnt fit into the holes. but i made a thread on here and they let me know that the bottom piece spun. so thank god for ls1tech

front is a little lower then that, as it is sitting on an incline so the weight is transfered to the rear. thx guys!
