Default cam
im planning on getting a cam but i dont know which one. i want to stay smog legal but i want the most hp i can get. whats the best cam for hp while still staying smog legal? opinions?

Do you have sniffer tests or just OBDII scans? If you are having to pass as sniffer, you are going to be limited to a low 22x duration more than likely. What do you currently have done to the car and what are your plans? Let me know and I'll see if I can help you out!

my car is basically stock with just a lid and a cut out, i would get headers but i dont want to scrap over anything with my lowerd suspension. but i already do scrape. i just want to get a cam for now and a better y pipe and a tune.

You won't scrape the headers. I have scraped my cats a little but never my headers. Also it helps to hit speedbumps or any situation you think you might scrape at an angle..... I am lowered too btw....

Headers FTMFW!!!!

i really would and i really want to bro but i already scrape my stock y pipe all the time while going at an angle. and i know for a fact that long tubes hang lower so ill be scrapin them hard.

oh n not just speed bump i scrape on if thers a bump on the freeway n i got a passenger it scrapes ther too. i just dont want to mess anything up too bad.

and i want to stay smog legal. i dont want to have to put my stock exhaust manifolds to get it smoged.

i think my car is just as low as your car... my headers have no marks on them. but about 6-12 inches back the pipe is scraped pretty bad.
Cam- i would call pat g and have him make one for you if you want the most out of a cam, he can do just about anything you want.

I hear the TR224 on 114 LSA will pass in Cali. Don't hold me to this though. Other mods may change this.

your y-pipe will always scrape, headers do not scrape on these cars. the y-pipe hangs lower. trust us we know
