Default Hey guys, new LS1 owner - few ?'s

Hey everyone, I am the proud new owner of a Black M6 2000 WS6 w/only 23K miles. It has 340 rwhp (have the dyno sheet) with Hooker LTH's, SLP Loudmouth exhaust, few free air-box mods & custom Dyno CPU tune. I am wanting to add some serious HP. My two options are:

A) Take to local performance shop for LS3 Comp cam kit, Comp custom grind cam shaft, Comp Double Valve spring kit good for .675 lift, Titanium Retainers, Spring Seats, Valve seats, Comp Chromoly Pushrods. Underdrive pulley kit, F.A.S.T 102 MM Intake Manifold, 102MM TB, and Custom Dyno Tune. Cost- $5,100

B) ATI Procharger, found one used w/ 26K on it (supposedly )And I can do install myself. Cost- $3,000

What do you guys think? Opinions are appreciated.

Cam $400
Springs and retainers $300
Fast intake and tb $1200
Pushrods $100
Underdrive Pulley $230
Tune=$500
instal maybe $1000-1500

At the most this should be around $4200 with installation. Sounds like this guy is ripping you off. IMO

As for the ATI procharger kit. make sure you are buying the complete kit and not just the head unit. Sounds to be on the cheap end. Also you are going ot want the 8 rib kit and not the 6.

Damn... only 23k miles? I'd leave it as is but that's just me... haha - Congrats on the nice find though. As for the options you offered, I'd probably go with the first option

Appreciate the help, was looking at new Procharger kits at CalSpeed.com starting out at around $5,100, but with all the bells and whistles gets really up there in price.

I would say that a Procharger is the way to go but most of us (me too) didn't want to spend that money all at once and went with with a cam and then maybe heads. I am still cam-only and am happy with the car but do sometimes wish I would have saved up for FI instead.

The problem with a PC is that on a stock bottom you can only safely run 7-8psi. On a forged bottom you can really pump up it is absolutely worth it. GREAT heads and a well matched cam IM etc.... can beat a stock bottom PC...

Add to option A. Fast 102/102 will require a new fuel rail +the cost of bigger injectors. A stock fuel rail won't fit on the 102/102. Also are you just getting your 241 heads worked or are you going 243s or aftermarket heads. You did say Serious Horsepower!
