slp lid vs. slp cold air package
I have a 2001 ss camaro, and was wondering whats better to get, just the slp lid or get the whole slp cold air package. what are people's thoughts on the differences? is it worth to get the package or no? thanks.

Some say the smooth bellow is crap, a waste of money, and that it does nothing for power. Some fab one up or stay with stock. Its not a bad buy as a package. It makes the induction look cleaner, and smoother imo. And any time you can smooth the air flow instead of sticking with the accordion stock piece the better. I mean hey, thats why your getting the lid, am i right. Whether its worth the money, Thats up to personal preference.

I found the SLP CA raised my IAT readings after installing
it. I recommend just the lid, and a used one is just as good
as a new one if it ain't busted.
The first lesson to learn is skepticism of marketing claims;
the second is how to search smartly. Doing so will net
you these very same answers, minus the wait.

But he leaves good honest posts for people in their thread that are usually very informational so we don't mind...
To the OP: get a lid and a FTRA (Fast Toys Ram Air system) for the car. Those work very well combined with a good, clean air filter.
Its funny how SLP charges asinine prices for stuff and yet their lid is the cheapest one on the market to buy...

the fernco deal is a nightmare, i had to get the 3x4 for some reason, my tb had a larger opening, now that i got the fernco on there the clips on the front of my lid wont stay shut and my lid keeps coming open, im going to get the slp bellow and hope that it fits better and accomodates my nozzle a little better, my nozzle keeps spinning and pointing at the bottom of the coupler instead of pointing at my tb opening. If i were you id just get the lid not only will you get a little power it makes your car sound meaner.
