With a 2,000$ budget .. what is the best bang for the buck after having slp lid , slp catback exhaust , and nitrous already on my automatic trans am? I have some thoughts but would like to know other peoples thoughts as well.. any opinions count. Thanks

What size stall recommended for a street/strip car? A friend of mine bought a stall and it made his camaro throw codes.. And what about the suspension.. what should i do?

Stall, tranny cooler, headers and y-pipe and if you have money left then some drag radials.

I deffinately plan on doing the headers and y pipe. But im kinda skeptical of the stall because i dont want to have to tune it just yet.

You don't have to get a full tune. Around here, shops generally charge aroung $125/hr for dyno tuning. That would be plenty of time to tune for a stall, bump up the timing, and quickly mess with the fueling. Won't be completly optimal but would be enough for bolt-ons. A mail order tune would also be an option.

Drag radials before the stall of course, otherwise it's kind of a waste.

Enough about the dr's though. I need some opinions on stall/gearing size. 3.73's with 3200 stall .. would that be a good street-strip setup? Thats what a friend recommended to me. But then i had a friend recommend 3600 stall?? I have no previous experience due to always owning a manual. Any advise appreciated thanks guys!

Came in to to suggest the spray but you got that! I dunno how the hell your street tires are hooking that good but as long as your happy! I would cam, if you look for a used one on here or one with the pushrods, rockers and all as a used set, get a frost tune ect, it will prob end up alot cheaper than you think maybe ~$600 even. I thought A4 guys always do the stall first, and yeah your tires may hook good now but im pretty sure if you get a good stall your gunna want some DR! Thats my humble opinion, good luck!

Well i just put the nitrous on there last week. I havent sprayed it yet on the street tires so i guess it would be a good idea to get some dr's. Nobody will answer me about the stall so i guess im going with 3200

Try searching, seems like there's got to be tons of info on different stalls since nearly every A4 gets one

You've got to look for yourself and decide what stalls best for your application and specs. There's no end-all stall that'll blow the rest away.

My only fear for you is hooking. You want drag radials. Oh, they'll hook great, but please don't tell me you have a stock rear. If so, maybe you'd want to spend that 2k into a stall/rear first. Might save you money down the road.

From what I've seen and read, since you've got an auto you'd be better aimed towards a 12-Bolt.

Yeah thats what i was worried about. With this weather my work hours are terrible so i am on a huge budget at the moment until weather clears up some. My BIGGEST fear is being stuck at the track with a broke rear end. I hear they are junk in my car. But i think i am just going to have to wait it out because there is so many other things i WANT rather than need for my car. And the nitrous will not be sprayed off the line for that reason right there.
