Default Best place to buy a pro 5.0 and LSS?

I just recently got my car and it has the factory sloppy shifter in it. I am new to the whole manual trans, althought I can drive the car perfectly fine, speed shifting at 6 grand seems a little scary for me. So I did a search, and figured i'd go with the pro 5.0 shifter with the Lou's short stick. That seems to be a pretty popular and working combo. Where is the best place to get the best deal on these though? Thanks in advance, and sorry if this has been posted too many times.

LS1 Speed is always running a special on these hit them up it wont be $225
I like the stick that comes with the 5.0.
It is not strait up from the shifter like the LSS.
I just cut it down about 3 times till I liked where the handle was.
There is about 2" of thread on the 5.0 handle so you can cut it down alot.
I have both LSS & the "cut down" 5.0 sticks.
IMO the 5.0'er makes it alot better to drive, it positions the stick about 2' closer to the drivers side.

Well if it is, I might have to get one then I thought it was strait as well?
I did not like the strait set up, it was at best uncomfortable.

I will probably just try the pro 5.0 stick first, then if I don't like it, I'll get a LSS. What is the real difference though? I can't see that much of a difference if they are both bent?

the LSS is shorter,

http://lscamaross.8m.com/lous2.html

Short Stick for the Aftermarket Hurst (Part #'s 52502, 52503) and Pro 5.0 Shifters (Part # 52502A)

The Short Stick for the aftermarket Hurst Competition Plus, Hurst Billet Plus and Pro 5.0 shifter reduces shifter throw by 17%. It has a bend toward the driver (left) of approximately 25 degrees and a bend toward the rear of approximately 5 degrees. It also shortens the handle considerably for better **** position. It is available to accept the stock **** and the small Hurst **** (used on the chrome Hurst handle). Available in black finish only.
from Lou's site.

Ryan. <--- i need to get a lss sometime.
