Question Problems at the pump

Car has a drinking problem (sorta like "Airplane" the movie), pump wants to click off all the time unless I hold the handle at just the right angle... very annoying. Anyone else have this problem?

alot of the new vapor return nozzles at these stations are very picky and suck, really suck when trying to fill a gas can. Its probably just the station you are using.

This is an interesting problem. I've read about some people having the issue to such a degree that they can't put any gas in their tank at all, at any station. Some valve seems to get stuck inside the neck, held in place by poorly vented pressure (from some sort of EVAP problem, I would assume). The fix for some of these people is to run a coat hanger wire down the neck to release the pressure.

But it sounds like your issue isn't as serious as all that. I too have this problem, with one nozzle at one particular station I often use. I've since learned to just not use that specific pump, and I don't have problems with the other pumps.

When I have that problem I simply pull out the nozzle an inch or two and squeeze away. Problem fixed.

Happens to me randomly at Shell. Also happens whenever it's cold and I want to sit inside my car, the very moment I take a seat it stops.
