hi im new to puting cams in and stuff like that i just bought this 2002 z28 6speed bone stock so far i added smooth below,slp lid , throtle body spacer , delphi truck ss maf, it has the 241 heads and i think the ls6 intake i want to put a nice sounding cam in it and want to know what is a good cam to put in without having to upgrade many things. so basickly i like to know what cam to put in and whats needed to do so my budget is under a grand thanks i was thing a cam and headers with spintech exausht .

your not gonna get a cam, headers, exhaust and a tune for under a grand. my guess is you would need it installed also and you will need to upgrade the internals also so its gonna get expensive... btw you have an ls6 intake

Headers and Y pipe - about $500 if you price it right with pacesetters or something.
Cam, springs, lifters,pushrods - around $800
Oil pump, maybe ls6 or something ported - around $130
Dyno tune - anywhere from $300-$500.

That's just for a cam basically what you would absolutely want. Don't forget about a clutch to handle the added power and if you get a nice size cam or decent even for that matter.. you may want to change the rearend gears.
