Default header install

Just bought hooker lt and ory and slp lm2 after I get it installed. What comes next. I've herd tune? But what else? Im deleting the cats also. And should I expect a huge gain? In power and sound?

I would definitely get it tuned. I myself bought Pacesetter LT's and a TSP catted Y-pipe that I'm waiting to get installed. Make sure that you have new motor mounts and O2 extensions if you didn't already have them.

You don't have to get it tuned, but you will need to either get it tuned to remove the rear O2 codes from the computer, or you can use O2 simulators, they trick the computer into thinking the rear 02s are working fine.

if u delete the cats then u will need a tune to delete the o2 sensors. when i did my headers i did not need new motor mounts, i was told mine was the best ones he had seen, talking bout the guy who installed them. you will net a small gain from the setup and it will be louder then hell with the lm2.

It is really not that bad if you have an exhaust that dumps past the rear axle.

you should expect decent gains maybe 30 hp something in that area with the cat delete. i deleted mine and from time to time i get that foul smell kind of like an exhaust leak but most of the time i really don't notice it plus i LOVE the way it sounds w/o cats. it gets mean if you have the right cam setup with it too. you will need a tune deff. but only after you've finished doing all your mods or you will waste you money on additional tunes. i really don't see anything else you would need for that install.

You may get 30 hp total from the headers/ORY, not from just deleting the cats. I say get rid of them, the smell isn't that bad and its one less thing to worry about.

yeah i meant the whole setup. theres no way a cat delete can give you 30 rwhp gains. but yeah i agree get rid of them as long as you can get it inspected or you don't have to get it inspected

Installed hooker LT's about a month ago, with TD's and a tune. Gained 6 mph on my trap. If yours is an a4, def tune that ****.
