Hey guys i just got a 2002 camero ss with 35000 miles. This car has not been touched but i have some plans for it but money is a little tight. What should i do first? Headers and exhaust? Intake? Lid? I love the sound of true duals 3" no cats but should i go flowmaster, dynomax, or borla with dumps?

Definitely do not go with flowmaster or any other chambered muffler. I'm not sure why but they make these motors sound horrible. Magnaflow and borla both sound good in my opinion.
Also, what are your goals and budget?

Over the years i have owned 8 ls1's and can tell you this:
If you have a manual tranny you will benefit the most from:
gears upgrade, i recommend 4.10's... they blow the exhaust away!
If you are running an auto:
stall converter.... dont go lower than 3600 if you wanna feel noticeable gain, throw in some 3.73 gears while you are at it
These mods wont add any HP, but you will definitely feel the momentum... And on the budget, these mods are the only way to go
Let me tell you this... i didnt feel **** from an intake, i felt a SOME differenece with a full exhaust... But when i installed 4.10 gears on my stock ls1, i regretted going exhaust/intake first

Thanks guys i think i am going to go with borla 3" with some pacemacker long tubes and it has a 6 speed so it looks like its going to get some 4:10's also. What about the fast intake with 90mm tb. What kind of cam sound i go with. I dont want anything too extreme i want to bee at about 450-500

Do what I DIDN'T DO! Can't say strongly enough. Get a new rear axle assembly first! This is the weakest point on these cars! Either a 12 Bolt, or 9" right away! Then, throw slicks on, and run in 12's right away, and not worry about re failing!
