Default LS6 manifold question

I bought a Ls6 intake manifold for my 99 TA not too long ago. The intake came off of a low mileage 04 GTO. The purchase included the intake, fuel rails, injectors, and bolts.

Would I be able to use the fuel rail and injectors from the GTO or just use the ones from my ls1 intake i'm swapping out?

The injectors are 28lb off the GTO,yours are 26lb.

You should get a tune if your using the 28's.

I re-used my injectors, when I did my LS6 int swap.

Just undo the rail to manifold bolts, pop the injectors out one side at a time and lay the inj. and rail out of the way.

Put the rail and injectors back on your LS6 int. pressing them in and bolt them down.

No messing around with the fuel line hook up that way.

Thanks, but is there any benefit to going with the 28lb GTO injectors over my stock ones? After i got the intake swapped in I would be getting a tune not long afterwards anyway.

I'd say keep the 28's. The 01-02 fbodies (and 98 I think) came with 28's from the factory (actually 28.?). The 26# ones tend to max out (always open) at high rpm/load, there's a formula for the duty cycle you can probably find on here somewhere that will show this. Also it won't hurt to run with 28's for awhile before getting the tune, in closed loop it will be adjusted anyway.

Cool, you answered my next question before I asked it, because these injectors look way better than mine do with 100k+ miles on em. The GTO injectors look brand new with only 15-20k miles on em I believe, I didn't just want them to go to waste lol.

use the 28# injectors. I bet the car would run OK untill you could get a tune also.

Do the 28#s... They are good to about 460rwhp.

Don't take the car over 4k rpms.. Get a tune sooner than later.
