Default Quick ? About Trans Mount before Purchase

I've had a banging under the center of my car for a while and decided to try changing my transmission mount. It looks a little worn so I figured it's a good place to start. I was browing on WS6Store and see they have two for F-Bodies and I want to make sure I get the right one. Looking at 31108G and also 7-1604

After some extensive searching, I want a rubber one and not polyurethene. The one in the second link specifies it is ppolyurethene, but the first one, the "energy" mount doesn't specify what it's amde of. Is it rubber?

If not, any other recommendations of where to pick one up at?

What kind of motor mounts do you have? I am curious about this as well. Getting ready to change my clutch and want to change the tranny mount as well.

The energy mount is also poly... just get a new stock rubber mount.

^^^Exactly go the the parts store and pick one up. Advanceautoparts has some sweet online deals if you use a coupon code like CCabin...try it out

Also I did try a poly mount and not exaggerating I took it out the same day. I have an automatic with a 3600 stall and it felt like I was driving over rumble strips constantly at any speed.

OK I wondered if they were both Poly. The problem I having is I called two part stores (O'Reilly's and Auto Zone) to see waht they had. O'Reilly's said they can't get the part (probably jsut an idiot salesman I talked to) and Auto Zone, I don't think the guy knew what I was talking about because the part he quoted me was like $170. Anybody ahve a part # for a rubber one? Thanks.

And my motor mouts are original. They need to be replaced someday too, but the Trans mount is causing problems and needs to be swapped asap.

I guess the poly mounts are a hit or miss. I installed a poly mount on my Camaro and I cant tell any difference from stock other than a more solid feel to it. I installed the Lakewood poly mount...

Wow, the rubber one from Rock Auto - and a part # search elsewehre - cost about twice what the ones from WS6 Store do. Is that pretty normal or should I take my search elsewhere??

Every place I try, they range from $70-$120.

I've read in other threads of people getting rubber ones form around $15-$30. Can anybody chime in where you're finding these?

I've heard of guys using 93-97 Trans mounts on 98-02's. Cant remember for sure if they modified it or it just bolted right up. If you have the ability, take yours off and take it to a parts counter for a comparison.
