ok, give me a break here
Alright I KNOW this has been a common question but I am kind of worried/curious on whether or not I have a LS6 intake...
Background: I and NEW to the F-body community BUT I recently purchased a 01 LS1 Camaro with 45k and it had a P0300 code and after changing spark plugs and wires and relearning the crank it still didnt go away, so I took it in and had the dealership look at it because I was too busy to play around with it and throw parts at the car after researching about possible cylinder head issues and lack of tools and specifics on which cylinder is causing it. so after a week of tearing it apart they came up with injector seals being the problem after compression tests and inspection of the valve train (problem IS fixed now). Then they pop a doubt in my head about it possibly being a rebuilt motor because its so clean. (but so is the entire car)
a week goes by and i was waiting on block off plates for the STUPID air system and while installing them i noticed that the PCV lines are going from driver to passenger side into the manifold.
now ive been searching and searching but no definitive answer but what im thinking is that i have a 98-00 LS1 intake manifold since 01-02 were LS6 intakes BECAUSE i thought if you had a LS6 intake manifold you HAD to have the LS6 valley cover and the valley cover eliminated the need for the individual lines from each side of the motor for the PCV since it pulled from the valley...
and if i have a 01 I would have the LS6 intake manifold AND valley cover and if I dont then that is a for sure sign that i have a rebuilt motor?
i just wanted to see if my assumptions are in fact correct and that i dont have to tear off injectors and the intake manifold and look at it to see if its an LS6 or LS1 manifold because i cant find the part number on the manifold.
and if i am right what else to i have to look at to see what LS1 i really have...

Alright, thank you... I'll get some pics up soon. I was just worried because I was under the assumption that they all had the ls6 valley cover to have the ls6 intake. I'll look again for the part number. I know you can tell if you have the intake off but I thought that was ridiculous to tear it all off to just verify if I could tell some other way.
I am going to do the dual catch can setup on the car to reduce the oil consumption and oil vapors from going in my intake. The last car I had went into limp mode because my manifold pressure sensor got gummed up from oil vapor from the PCV system so I put a catch can on it. Especially because I plan on a front mount turbo after forging the internals.
Thanks again for the information!
