Default ls2 intake manifold with 243 heads

Quick question guys, can you use ls2 intake manifold with 243 heads and LQ9 block, I know that I'll have to change the fuel rail, but is it something directly bolt on or do I have to make another modification to make it fit?

I have a guy that probably could do porting on ls2 intake manifold and make it perform as good if not better as fast 92 with half the price, so I'm willing to try this.

Yes but an LS6 IM with a smaller TB will make more power so that is what I would start looking for on here.

EDIT: Never seen a ported LS2 that made better than ls6 numbers... as good yes but LS6 cheaper and better most of the time.........just sayin.. My ported 90/92 fast may be sale so pm me if interested...

I have ls6 intake manifold on mine and what we're going to do is compare my ls6 IM vs his ported ls2 IM, the opening is going to be couple with my 92mm nick williams TB.

Originally I was looking for fast 90/92 but I'm willing to try his since it's going to save a lot of money
Did you have to swap fuel rails to ls2 fuel rails when you did your fast 90 swap?

I have a FAST 90 with PTM 92mm TB and my stock rails and EV1 ls1 style 42# bosch injectors were drop ins. The 102's are when you have to upgrade to the LS2 rails and FI's... but there is a kit IIRC to convert to the earlier style injectors...

If you can find a reasonable 90/92 that is the way to go... Mine 90/92 is a Vengeance ported and may be for sale soon...

A ported LS2 will AT BEST match a stock LS6 intake. Neither will beat a FAST 92 even when ported (although I'm sure there are some unicorn dyno graphs out there run in -2,000DA..etc).

The LS2 intake is the worst LS intake ever produced. Worse than even the LS1 intake of 97-00. Don't be fooled by the 90mm intake opening. Sure it is larger than the 78mm LS1/6 intake, but once that initial shot of air gets in it is slowed in the runners compared to the 1/6.

A theory behind why GM purposely made the LS2 intake suck donkey ***** is because they didn't want the 2004 Z06 owners pissy and butthurt that the 2005 base model Corvette had more HP.

ls2 makes more than the ls1... but its not an upgrade worth doing makes only a few more horse, but the ls1 makes better torque till around 5 and only pull 7 to 10 peak around 6500 isnt worth loss under the curve

well the guy is in tech also and he told me that his intake manifold is LS2 based but nowhere close to regular or ported LS2 intake manifold. i really want to try this since, he's going to ship it to me free of charge, so all i have to lose is just my time to swap the intake manifold and dyno cost.
i will definitely create a thread IF we really going to do this, since i really want to get the fast 102, but don't want to deal with clearance issue.
