P&P TB worth it?

P&P TB worth it?
Only other mods will be SLP Lid, K&N, smooth bellow, over axle exhaust w/o muffler......MAYBE a tune down the road. That's it. Ever.
Just wondering if a P&P throttle body is worth the trouble and/or money.
*edit* btw car is a '01 z28

lol. obviously there is a huge visual difference, but that's not what I'm asking. If was I was going to be running more aggressive mods such as LTs, ORY, Cam, or heads obviously a P&P TB would be on the list of 'to-do's. BUT, I'm not. With the micro mod list I'll have (thanks to Ca smog laws) I'm just trying to figure out if its even worth my time and money. Cost vs. Gain. That $40+ could go towards suspension parts, a tune, appearance mods, or several other things.

Youll gain 4 to 7 rwhp on a dyno. Definetly not noticeable on the butt dyno. I feel the mod was worth while. Throttle response increased. If you paid for a k&n air filter and smoothe bellows then this should be an absolute. Considering it does more than both of those two combined for a quarter if not half the price.

FWIW: I'll be doing the Home Depot bellows lol

If you do the home depot smoothe bellow theres rumours it will crack your lid. It doesnt add any horsepower anyways unless your making 500+ i heard. The k&n filter will make your maf sensor get dirty quicker too from what ive read.
Since your from california good luck trying to get away with no muffler. Your best bet is shorty or mid length headers, catted y, and a magnaflow catback. Youll definetly need a tune to pass inspections also from what ive heard. I dont know for sure.

Smooth bellow is for looks, never had a problem with K&N on any vehicle I've ever owned (over a dozen). And I don't get bothered about my exhaust. HOWEVER, locally the B.A.R and CARB have been cracking down and there is no way I can get my car smogged unless I have carb numbers on the headers and cats, even with my connections.

It's defiantly worth it if you do it yourself.. unless you mess it up or something then i guess it wouldn't be lol. Gave me a reason to be in the shop a little bit anyways

The bump stop mod alone on a p/p throttle body is worth it. Allowing it to open 100% at wot.....opposed to the only 83% it opens stock at wot. Yes, it's worth it.
