If you can get the VIN, you can have any GM dealer run the VIN through their VIS to get a complete list of all the factory option codes. I just go to the parts department guys for this. On that list should be "WS6", just like on the SPID sticker on the driver's door.

No 4th Gen F-body is rare in the sense of what other rare cars that other people recognize. But be that said SOM and NBM are some rare/premium colors that people look out for.
Some models before 2002 had some even odder options that could make the car a 1 out of 12 or even less. Some people care, most dont.
Buy the car you like and as far as the scratches, if you cant catch it with a finger nail, it can be buffed out, if not then it is what it is.

So that's a good sign.
I will also add that that car looks like a fine example of a stock 2002 WS6. The hood is correct, the Ram Air decals are right, the ride height is stock. It does not appear to have been modified in any way.
Of course, it's just one picture. But if it wasn't the real deal there would probably be other signs of little changes. Got any other pictures?

I agree though, I don't like the Speedlines either. I didn't like them on the mid-year LT1 Firehawks nor Comp T/As either. Not sure why they brought them back in 2001.

thanks guys
thanks for the tips. yea i was pretty sure it was a ws6 but still cant be too careful. ive wanted this car for a long time now. ive had it as my phone wallpaper for the longest time. here are some more pics of it. and i know it isnt rare. but i meant rare as in a sense of how many were made that were som with ttop and 6spd. ive heard that only like 270 were made but ive also heard a lil over 300 were made like this

It looks like it has an aftermarket exhaust, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

KBB Private Party in VG condition with 47k miles is $14325. I'd try for a few grand less.. Those scratches are kind of an eyesore and would probably be a deal breaker for me unless they can be mostly buffed out. The price would definitely have to take the scratches into consideration.. Just check for the usual things on a vehicle. Any body or paint work, fluid leaks. Make sure the rear end doesn't whine. Make sure the engine, clutch, and trans operate properly. I would stay away from a car with internal engine mods myself. Just take in the overall condition of the vehicle. Ask for maintenance records. Getting a feel of the owner will often give you an idea of how the car was treated.
