short and simple what do i need for header install
I bought ebay stainless steel headera and i am planning to install them with a buddy in a couple days. I want to make sure i have all the tools i need. No mm or any of that crap. Short and simple what do i need for uninstalling the stock manifolds, cutting the pipe, removing stuff to have room and installing. Thank you

The search feature would help you out a lot if you use it, but if you must know...this is what i collected since i am thinking about installing some LT`s on my `02 WS6.
-Obviously you`ll need some bolt PB blaster or something that can help with taking the bolts off so you dont break them (still go easy on them just in case).
-Soak all the bolts over night, hell...do it a couple of days before hand if the manifolds have no been touched yet.
-unbolt the OEM y-pipe and get that out of the way, you cant use them with the LTs
-unbolt your manifolds and everything attached to it *AFTER* taking out your spark plugs and wires.
-i believe you might have to unbolt your steering knuckle to make more room for the LTs
-bolt the LTs up, with an extended 02 sensor...or a Corvette 02 sensor (those are longer then the Fbody ones)
-check all your bolts, block off any fittings for your AIR or EGR (depending on what you have)
-reinstall your plugs and wires...change them now while your at it, should be easier with the LTs installed. Bolt your steering knuckle back up.
-drive to an exhaust shop, tell them to connect the catback to your LTs and your pretty much done.
I hope someone chimes in on this, because im sure i have missed a few things but thats the gist of it. Oh...and take your time.......its much easier with a friend to help you out....but just take your time.

just a thought - is it your daily driver ? issues can come up on some installs. some brands just plain don't fit right. I had to get back on the road and ended up denting one
pipe with a hammer - really would have preferred returning that product instead

you said ebay headers? make sure you have a BFH, a grinder and possibly a blowtorch because your going to need them hahaha ebay headers fit like hell. pacesetter fit pretty good, and for a low budget the BBK longtubes wint in without me even having to undo anything.. i just removed air/egr, took my old stuff off and just dropped em in..

Actually they fit perfectly. No grinding. Nothing. Absolutly no problems. Great quality. Very satisfied
