Slow ls1
Hi i have a 2000 camaro and i went to the track last week just did 13.60 on a 150 shot i have street tires circle d 3200 stall long tube headers and 3.73 gear without the shot i did 14.20. After the gear and stall my car seems to run a lot better there is a video of the run with the 150 shot, tue other car is a friend and is a 2002 stock well he just have headers slp lid true duals and a dyno tune. So my question is what can cause my car run so slow?? Intake leak? To cold spark plugs?? (br7ef), bad stall?? High miles? (100k) bad alternator ?? i recently change my fuel pump to a aeromotive 340 on it (good deal) change my fuel filter. I dont have the car tuned because im waiting to install my 224 cam adn bbk intake Thanks in advance

With modifications like that, I would personally disregard any ET comparasions until you have some decent tires.
What were your trap speeds with and without the N2O? This is a more worthwhile consideration based on your current stall/gear/tire setup.

What gas are you running 87octane? First any knock is bad knock, second stock timing should be around 28* at WOT. On the 150shot you should be 6 degrees less.
You sound like your car is falling into the low octane table. Max timing in the L.O. table is around 19*. I think your car is saving its own life by retarding the timing so much. Get your car tuned and then report back.

The KR/low timing advance is a problem, and is definitely hurting power.
However......
.....even once you fix the knock, you have to keep in mind that adding a 3200 stall and 3.73s is going to introduce some significant traction issues if you've always been running on regular street tires (and adding a 150 shot to that is going to make it much worse still). You will never get a max effort launch with that combo on a non-competition tire.
Does your track show trap speeds? If so, look at trap speeds to determine power, not your ET on street tires.

More information on trap speeds and times also day is needed so we can better help you. Also were you spinning a lot... I would assume you were but it can help. Also when is the last time you ever done a tune up. Personally before modding anything a complete tune up should be done. Check engine light on or any other drive ability problems?

BTW, if your buddy is only managing 12.80 with a 100 shot, he's seriously underachieving as well.

I dont think my friend car us slow.We dont have track maybe thas the reason we dont have good 1/4 mile times. Here in mexico are just a few drag ways, and on this part of the country we dont have just a closed street! I already do a log in my friend car and his timing is around 28-29 mines only 18 :/

So you don't have access to a track but your friend runs a 12.8 is this what your saying? If so how does your friend know what he runs? I agree that is dirt slow with a 100 shot... I ran that with bolt ons stock stall... your friend needs his car looked at as well...
