Casting #'s.

Very good stock heads. C5Z and LS2 heads. if you want, get them ported or do an exchange service for a set of ported ones. Just search for 243 heads for sale. Ported they go for around $600 a set with stock springs (yellow.)

no, there are probably a few sets on here for sale now. You can also look for 799's. They are the same casting without the sodium filled valves.

Also, 799's castings are LS2 heads as well. They are the same as the 243's without the hollow stem valves.

Not all 243's have hollow and sodium valves.

Ok I am gonna be on the look out for a pair, I am gonna try to get an ly6 motor but if it looks like theyre going to cost to much I will stick with an ls1. I have one Im going to look at tomorrow its a 02 ls1 from a ws6 trans am with 60k on it, he wants 2500. Im going to try and talk him down to 2000. It comes with harness and auto trans. even has an ls6 intake.
