Proud new ls1 owner.
Hello everyone, As some of you may know ive been looking for a nice ls1 around colorado for awhile. Alot of cars around here are either a pos or they are really taken care of and their owners want 15k or more for them.
So after all the hassle of looking at crap cars and shitty deals i finally found my baby yesterday:
2000 z28 m6 white on the zr1's
just dinged 74k is in great condition, the previous owner bought it in 03
Had a real clean carfax and hes been taking it to the dealer to have it serviced every 3k . he had to go to iraq in 04-08 came back and bought a termi. So the ls1 sat in his garage for the past 3-4 years, so its been driven like 5-6k since 08
Mods: Lid and catback
exterior: As said has the zr1's, The slotted grill piece
It also has like the 2 inch skirts which I thought i wasnt going to like but actually I think it makes it look nice. and yes t-tops
paid just shy of 8k for it.
Really happy with the car, shes sittin in the garage now. im gunna take her down sometime this week and wash it off and get some decent picutes when its nice.
Anyhow let me know what you guys think, im planning on doing some modding this spring when i can drive it up to denver and get a decent tune. most likely just headers, ls6 manifold, and a few other minor bolt ons tell i can get a better job and do what i really want with it.
Sorry for no pics, coming soon!
Thanks guys.

Congrats on the new ride! Welcome to ls1tech the crazy world of fbodys.. Now you'll be like everyone else with a LS1 and when driving under a overpass, punch it to hear that awsome echo...

No doubt it will be taken care of, the only thing i do not absolutely love about it is the skip shift deal. which im gunna buy an eliminator probably this week. and im thinking about getting the TB ported aswell this week, i know it wont yield any real numbers but i hear its a good throttle response increaser and will help support mods down the road. I dont really have alot of money until march so im just focusing on the things I can get done now. Whats your opinions on Ported TB?

Good mod for the money. I strongly suggest getting a good mind of what you want the car to be and be realistic with whatever your budget may be. Mod as much as you can at once, even if it means waiting on some mods to save. Mod once tune once save money.

Very true Thanks for the advice. I think im leaning towards a H/C DD setup. I want something that i can drive to work on a nice day then go to the track and lay down decent times. but yeah It will be later on possibly the end of this coming up summer if i can collect the extra cash.

try to find a ls6 intake for like 300 to 400 used. I just installed one and big difference. Get some tsp stanless steel headers and ory. You do intake and headers and you will pick up 30 rwhp. Nice car

Lol, Check my garage dude. And thanks everyone, now that ive had the car a little while I love it even more than the day I went and got it. Even though I havent been driving it to much due to shitty roads. Ive driven a few fairly quick cars, but in the last couple of years ive only been driving a little 03 blazer so when i get in the camaro i feel like im breaking the sound barrier. Ill be happier when its summer car shows, t-tops off, and the track. Thanks again.

Great purchase. They have been hard to come by in decent condition anymore. Once you do get around to modding your car, don't forget about us, I've personally had 3 LS1 F-Bodys. All were very different from one another.
Happy Motoring!

Thanks everyone!
Ill definatly be seeking your help in the near future. All of the members of this forum ultimately influenced me to get an ls1. Ive done alot of reading on here in the past few months and the brute force and reliability of the whole lsx platform is crazy.
Ill remember this when the snow melts. haha Thanks and I will!
Me too, The previous owner took really great care of this car and plan to do the same. Thanks.
Hell yeah man! We will definatly have to meet up sometime. Ill also be looking for a good tuner up in that area eventually, it'd be great if you could point me in the right direction.
Yeah they definatly are getting rare especially in this area. I had been looking for a good 6 months before finding this deal. Ill be sure to check the speed shop out as well!
Thanks man. I love the pic "Meanwhile in 'Merica" haha.
