Default QTP Long Tube Header. Paint? Ceramic coat?

I know most of the ups and downs of the ceramic coating and the wrap for the headers. IMO wrap looks like **** n ****. Ceramic coating is the way to go but I hear that if you don't coat the inside as well, you can **** yourself in the long run with the heat being trapped and having nowhere to dissipate. Could I just paint the headers with high temp paint from an AutoZone or will it just flake off. The headers are used and are tarnished and I'm sick of them looking like crap. Help would be appreciated.
Thanks guys

Aren't QTP's stainless? If so just leave them, paint wont last and having them coated will cost more than its worth.

Awesome. Did you clearcoat them or just put the first basecoat on? Did it help with heat under the hood or did you have heat shields?

yeah, 275 for coating inside and out. I only paid 400 for em. yeah, they're stainless but I hate the tarnished look. But they're in extremely good condition. I'm running a little rich right now. Is it worth cleaning the carbon out of them or should I just leave it be? I've heard to soak them in methanol but idk?

Simple high temp paint won't last long at all and won't do squat for underhood temps.

Get them coated or leave em as they are, nothing else will really work. And idk where you heard it's bad to just coat the outside as that will trap heat inside and it won't be able to dissapate. Coating the header inside will do the same thing, so that has nothing to do with anything.

I have painted a few sets of headers and they lasted maybe 4-5 months before they started flaking off.

I painted my LTs with high temp then wrapped them with lava tape. Looks awesome and wrap it going to reduce temps more than any coating. Imho

Look into powder coating. ask your local powder coater there experience with coating headers because it uses a different powder for the high heat
