Something between 224r and ms3
I think the 230/234 cam from pat g is pretty badass

You dont have to drop the motor to fix a leaking oil pan.

But its probably a good idea to go through it if its never been done.

What are you going to be using the car for? Any other mods? Do you mind a loud car?

People dog on them, but ive seen several cars with a mild 'Hot Cam' out perform people with larger cams. It wont dyno as well, but whats more important numbers or performance? I also did a cheater v3 cam in a basically stock motor, i like it too.

If you dont mind loud, youd be closer to the ms3 side of the scale. They are loud, they surge, they are harder to DD... but they do pretty well. Its just that ive noticed EVERY SINGLE person ive known who installs a large cam in their DD, ends up selling the car not too long after.

With your mods that thing should be pretty quick.

How high do you plan on, or want to spinning the motor, is weak low-end power okay with you?

go on youtube and start punching in your year car and cam of choice ....listen to it.

I think it all depends on the tuner to take out the surge and bucking.

I had it in my cam til my tuner took it ALL out and its a pretty good size cam and i DD my car cause its my only ride.

Tick Performance has been putting out some good cams making great power.

Look into comp cam 223/231 610/617. I installed one in my dd 99 camaro. Awesome power gains none to very little cam surge, but sounds like a cammed out muscle car.

oh dont worry...it'll be LOUD! You need the supporting mods to be loud, headers, heads, and a good open exhaust.
