WS6 Exhaust Help!!!
I have a 2001 WS6 with stock exhaust, soundwise im pretty much deadset on the SLP Loudmouth 1, but I would also like to have the best performance as well, my father told me just to get the muffler only and see how I like it, but my friends tell me I should get an Off Road Y-Pipe so I wont have cats, plus whatever muffler I wanted. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Depends on whether or not longtubes are in your future. If so, Id just slap on a different muffler for the time being. A y pipe that fits stock manifolds won't work with longtubes, so that'd be money wasted. I've got a Dynomax bullet welded in place of the stock muffler on my car and Im content with that until I order headers. As for the LM1, that's a love or hate exhaust around here. I like it on manifolds with cats, but wouldn't have it with headers and ory. Too raspy. Go to ls1sounds.com and have a listen to decide for yourself. Performance wise, it's about as free flowing as you'll find.

Yes I am still trying to decide on what longtubes to get, im a ******* nubcake when it comes to this stuff, but my friend tells me I should get an X-Pipe instead of my current Y-Pipe, what would you suggest?

it all depends on what you like. with a traditional xpipe (not the expensive setup from kooks) youll have no ground clearance but itll sound great. if i were you i would save up and get headers, ory, and a magnaflow for best performance and sound, but its up to you.

Well coming from someone who currently had long tubes, ORY, and LM 1 I can tell you this combo is way too loud and raspy as hell! If you like that kind of sound then you will love it I guess lol. I'm changing my setup next week lol

I vote for Loudmouth 1. It makes the car sound like it should. The only negative thing is there is a little interior drone on the highway. But it's stainless steel and can be had for under $400.
