Got my SLP lid, K&N (came w/ car), and SLP LM. Wondering which way to go now. I got a 2000 Z-28 A4. Was Thinkin of the following options.

-LTs (Pacesetter or Flowtech) - Maybe hooker if money allows
-ORY (matching the Lt company) - Yes i know its raspy and droney w/ LM.
-Ported TB, I read the sticky on it and wonderin if you guys think its worth it, and if so which way should i go and at what price?
-ASP pully, dont know much about them, and dont know how much to spend or even put is needed for this mod. I know its a U/D pully but you need a new belt and bolt as well. How much for this mod and is it worth the $$?

if you didnt already have a catback, i would say longtubes because you get sound and performance, but since you are an A4, i would probably say converter first. i just got mine in and man, its nice! i havent had it to the track with the converter, but i've heard its one of the best gains you can get if you can get traction too.

personally i'm waiting for my cam to do the underdrive and the ported TB..

g'luck with whatever you choose

I was thinking about it, but then it ruins streetability and throttle response. I dont wanna lose one for the other. Idk if you did, but get a B&M tranny cooler if you want that thing to last! :-D

Auto huh? Well if you really wanted to...

New rearend (12 bolt, 9 inch, etc) with at least 3.73 gears
Big *** stall
Tranny cooler
Beef up the tranny
ET Drags

Then just heat them bad boys up, launch the hell out of it, and hold on!

i'm running a 3500 with a 2.5STR... streetable... feels great on the street! also running a B&M 24000 supercooler...
and if you hit it, you still have throttle response..

edit: oh yea.. and after it locks up (35-40mph under normal driving) its just like stock

Ummm stalls can be had for $400-800 depends on the brand and about $50-100 for a trans cooler....not much more than LT's and a stall should drop about .4-.6 off your ET..Enjoy

agreed

TCI stalls are less than FLP, SLP, hooker, etc LTs... especially with the Y pipe.. and even about the same price as macs with ORY... B&M 24000=$50

i dont know what install is on a converter (had mine done during a tranny rebuild ), but i know header installs on LS1s are pricey...

best bang for buck? TCI

just my opinion tho
