oil catch can 99 t/a
Ordered catch can from covettemods( got decent reviews ) to help with blow by. Read up on how to install. Have seen some putting a breather filter on the driver side valve cover(rear) Should I do this or leave it as is? Any tips/opinions would be great! Thx

I didn't remove them. I just wanted to replace the pcv. I noticed the valve in the driver side rear valve cover. I pulled it out and it looked little dirty. I could probably clean it up but rather just buy a new one if I knew what it was called?

The only thing that ever need replacing is the PCV valve itself and the rubber Y (behind the rear of intake manifold) usually falls apart causing a vacuum/oil leak. The rest of the PCVystem can be cleaned up and re-used; unless you want to spend around $117+ for a whole new PCV system. To replace the rubber Y, you'll need either a metal or plastic T or Y barbed fitting, or you can replace it with a short section of 3/8" oil/fuel line hose and then cap the rear port on the passenger side valve cover.
FYI, you can't just buy pieces of the PCV system, you have to buy the whole complete system.

Not to get off topic but when i swaped ls1 to ls6 intake i was shocked on how much oil in ls1 intake. I installed the catch can a week after. Defently better gas mileage keeping intake clean of oil just food for thought.

I agree. I swapped intakes couple weeks ago and found same thing. Not a ton but enough to see. Haven't been able to drive it after the intake due to snow. Noticeable difference when you swapped them?
