Default Camaro lm2 muffler hang low?

I just installed my lm2 on my 2000 camaro ss snd the muffler seems to go down at an angle right before it goes over the axel( hangs low I think). I was wondering if anyone eles has seen this. I was thinking of taking the elbow out and cutting it a little so it can get pushed up farther into the piece that goes over the axel.

Do uou guys think I will be able to pull it apart cut it and slide it back in to the piece that goes over the axel? Or after it has been tight the pipe will not be able to slide out or back in?

what I had to do was lower my front end and jack the rear end up to get all the pieces to fit in properly. That made a big difference on how well my muffler fit.
