Default Exhuast Setup

I'm getting ready for a cam install. I want to pre-purchase and install my exhaust. Im thinking about buying the Texas Speed Longtubes, and off road y-pipe. I just need help on deciding on a good cat back that will connect up easy and sound good? Any suggestions?

Depends on what kind of sound you like. I run a Magnaflow bullet style muffler with long tube and ORY, and am pretty happy with it

I live in new york, and have so many problems with noise violations. Right now I'm running ARH long tubes with koobs catted y pipe into the SLP LM1 exhaust, its not even a muffler it's just a resonator. But in my opinion the car sounds very good, also it's not to loud unless I get on it. If i'm just cruising it sounds like a regular cat back exhaust setup. Once I roll around to 3,500rpms plus at WOT the car screams.

Well its really all a matter of opinion...what's to loud and whatnot. With a cam it's always going to be louder of course. Check out some vids, hit some car shows, etc...

If you're concerned about noise, keep stock catback and just put a cutout on at the Y.

Ok, so if I just buy the longtubes they will hook up to stock ypipe correct? I have a cutout on the car already. So I was thinking about longtubes, stock ypipe with a cutout?

Headers will not connect to the stock y-pipe, if you want Texas speed headers IMO I would get the Texas speed y-pipe. We have installed several Texas speed systems and their y-pipe is made to fit their headers.

As far as a good cat back I like Magnaflow or Corsa, both work and fit well.

^What Joey said. You'll need the y-pipe if you get long tubes. If getting TSP headers then just stick with their y-pipe. You might also want to check out Speed Engineering as they're stainless like TSP but even more affordable.

You will never go wrong with borla that's if you **** a deep sound. I'm currently running an slp II exhaust I love it though I read that with long tube headers is not recommended
