Default New LS1 Owner...

Hey guys, just acquired my first hot rod this past week. I do not know much of anything about the LS1. The motor was installed into a 1984 Chevy stepside. This was strictly a drag strip truck, but I am slowly converting it back to a more user friendly environment. I will have lots of questions, and I will try to get my answers before asking everyone and annoying all of you. Just wanted to drop a few pics of my setup, and get the ball rolling...

My first issue is that everything electrical is hooked up to that Dominator V2 ecu. The only way to read anything is through a tablet with the Holley software.

I want to start hooking the mechanical gauges back up and get them working again. Starting with the temp gauge, then oil pressure, and so forth.

I have discovered that there is a small leak in the radiator. I will be pulling it and getting it checked out locally.

I also have a constant white smoke discharge out of the passenger side exhaust. I'm hoping it's just a head gasket, and not the block...

Plan on installing air conditioning, and possibly a heater as well.

Can anyone with experience let me know what I've got? Any pointers for the truck/motor?

Anything I should change or do differently? Thanks

Thanks! I'm used to working on the new duramax trucks, and there is absolutely no room at all under the hood! I could almost sit on the A arms and work on this one, lol...
