Default Electric Cutout

Dont know much about them but i assume QTP is the way to go. I have SLP LM on my car, and looking into getting one, but im not sure if i need one or 2? I have on all the stock exhaust parts except the SLP LM catback. The cars a 2000 Z-28a4.

If you have LM, I dont think a cutout would be really worth it, since the exhaust can't get any much more free-flowing than having LM exhaust. If you still want a cutout, just get one and put it in the i-pipe under the passenger side rear seat. QTP is a great company to buy cutouts from, also look into a company called McCord. They are a lot cheaper and worked flawlessly for me.

I don't think it will sound much different. And I think the usual opinion is it sounds like *** under 2500, and pretty good above that. Well, whatever floats your boat. I loved my cutout, I had it with Flowmaster exhaust, so the cutout made it really loud and added some noticible power. Good luck!

Default Qtc

I have been using the QTC electric cutout for about 6 months now. I like it ... couldn't tell a lot of difference in power until I had the cam installed ... just yesterday. There was a small, but, noticeable gain. With it open. I heard one guy here say that it worked well for him for about two years and then the motor burned up. That may have been because he held the switch for too long. I always leave my house and listen for it to fully engage ... instead of jut 'riding' the switch, when closing it.

It will sound a lot different! I had my exhaust dumped right after my Y-pipe and it sounded like a friggen Nascar . But it did feel a little sluggish from the low end aspect. Hope this helps.
