Default needing advice on build

I'm planning on having some work done on my 02 z28. I currently have 1 7/8" kooks headers with race cats true dual and x pipe. The engine is stock ls1 a4 with k&n intake. This car will be a weekend driver probably never see a track but will get abused on the street.
I'm thinking about trickflow top end kit with 3200 stall. Is this package worth the hp/$$. I have ls6 intake is it worth replacement to a fast 102. Will the tranny and rearend need upgraded. Want some opinions of someone who's experienced these upgrades?

Those are great heads for the money, and with that cam it should be a nice drivable yet potent setup

The rear end should be fine, I just put a T/A girdle cover on it like this http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...ar-end-girdle/ just for extra assurance. Through an auto these rear ends hold up a lot better than they do with m6 cars. Right now I'm pushing 529/529rwhp/rwtq through my stock 10 bolt with no issues through a 3600 stall. I would probably go with a 3600 stall if I were you, you'll get more out of your setup and it'll put you and keep you in your rpms a little better than the 3200 after it shifts. Call one of the sponsors and they'll set you up with a tight converter for the street and you'll love it.

Your transmission will be pushing it around 450rwhp from what I've read, but don't hold me to that. Put the biggest trans cooler you can on it and it'll make it last longer. Like B&M 70266 or 70274 (preferably this one), but I run the 70266 with no issues and my trans temps stay pretty low.

As far as the fast setup, dollar per hp it really isn't worth it imo. But if you have the money and want the most out of your setup then I'd go for it. You have some nice heads going on the car and it would compliment it for sure.

I'm not sure what your stock injectors are good to.....450whp? I can't remember, but I think if you get a fast setup that you'll be getting up there close to maxing them out. Hopefully someone else can chime in on that.

And tires, you will definitely need a good set of drag radials lol.

Ya I thought I may need a trans cooler and tires afterwards. Do drag radials effect rearend stress. Probably speed my way to a 12 bolt sooner.

I honestly wouldn't even worry about your rear end right now at the power level you'll be at. If you put higher than a 3.42 gear in there you make sheer some teeth off, but I honestly wouldn't even worry.

Keep us posted, I'm interested in seeing how much you make with it and what you think. That's going to be a nice setup you have, congrats.

Well it's running ..if I keep my foot at 1400 rpm's +. Was hoping for a little better idling before it gets tuned.

Cams have one of the biggest impacts on performance/idle without a tune of any mod or upgrade, in my experience. I wouldn't even drive a car with new cam/heads without a tune to accompany it, that's as scary as changing your injector sizes without your computer knowing.

That's what I've been told. Drove home fighting it for 3 miles. Was hoping to drive it about 2 hrs away to my tuner but looks like it's going to be a trailer queen for a day.

Not sure if your tuner offers it or not, but mine had me send my computer to him so he could put a base tune on it for me to drive over 4 hours so he could tune it. Mine was for a turbo build, with a different cam and 80lb injectors. Mine was almost dead on, so I imagine he could get yours really close.

They usually take the price of it off your regular tune. May be cheaper than trailering it?
