Default Speed Engineering ory install problems

Hello, new to this site. I'm having problems installing the speed engineering ory. Headers fit perfect, but the y pipe won't line up. It's about 3 inches too short on the passenger side from the end of the header. And it doesn't line up straight either. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

Mine were the exact same way (on my 02 in sig) and had to take to a muffler shop to finish fit. My other set (98 in sig) fit with no problem...go figure

No. After I couldn't get it to fit, I took the car to an auto shop to see if they could get it to fit, but they couldn't either. So then I emailed SE. SE told me to check the forums, so here I am.

Guess I need to find a muffler shop that will do it. SE said they've been selling this combo for years and never had fitment issues. How much did the muffler shop charge?

Pics #1 and #2 are a 3" extension on the passenger side.
Pics #3-5 are a mod to the driver side to clear the floor.
The rest are the finished product.
Buy some real clamps.
I also cut off the tapered part of the merge for a true 3" exit.

The second set I got for the 98 fit fine. I modded it to be a 4" outlet.
Big difference in sound and flow. Deep and Loud, but the 98 is a strip only car.

That looks like what I will have to have done to my passenger side too. I wonder if it's because our cars are different, or the ory was made a little different. Or the headers were.

WEEEEEELL,look at your last picture........... the 02 shouldn't be on the back of the Y pipe.
It should be on the driver side and passenger side. It should go....02(front) in each side of the collector the next pipe should have a bung of the (rear) 02 <---that pipe take the place of the cat.

That looks to be his wideband on the back of the y.
There are o2's up front.

Anyone else have Speed Engineering ory fitment problems out there? I'm really happy with their headers. Just want to finally enjoy them and finish the exhaust.

I've got their LTs and ORY on my LS swapped '94 and everything fit fine. Sounds like they've either got two different designs or the cars are a little different and their kit only fits one of the variants.

Is this an issue with their headers or their Y pipe? Considering giving these SE headers a try. So I could go with a texas speed 25-TSPSSY instead of the SE ORY on my 2000 or have they since fixed the issue?

ragtopz28, what kind of "real clamps" are you referring to?

I think the SE ORY is hit or miss (one of mine fit, the other didn't). See my other post for pics in post #8. They are "soft" band clamps I picked up at a truck shop.

According to SE, they've never had a problem with customers having fitment issues of their ory. They told me to refer to this site. Apparently they're in denial, according to all the responses.
